DOWNINGTOWN GOOD NEIGHBOR CHRISTMAS
2023 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
The Downingtown Christmas events would not be able to happen
if it weren’t for the generous donations of the local businesses
and community. The funds raised allow us to provide a beautiful
Christmas Tree, the Tree Lighting event and, of course,
the Christmas Parade.
Many people do not realize the costs associated
with these events:
- The Christmas Tree is decorated professionally by an outside company after the Borough workers get it out of storage and put it together for us
- The Tree Lighting Event with all the activities, music and refreshments is free for everyone.
- The bands in the Christmas Parade cost quite a bit. A string band can run between $2,500-$3,000.
