The holiday season in Downingtown is a cherished time—when twinkling lights, joyful carols, and the spirit of giving bring our entire community together. As we prepare to celebrate this magical season, we're excited to announce two beloved events that bring warmth, joy, and a sense of unity to all who attend:
🎄 Tree Lighting Ceremony
Saturday, November 29 at 6:00 PM
Join us as we kick off the season with music, hot chocolate, and community cheer! At 6:45 PM, Santa Claus himself will arrive to light the town tree. This free, family-friendly event is a heartwarming tradition for Downingtown area residents of all ages.
🎅 Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 13 at 3:00 PM
A festive procession of marching bands, floats, dancers, community groups, and—of course—Santa Claus will make its way through the streets of Downingtown. The parade is a highlight of the season and draws hundreds of families each year.
These events are entirely free to attend—and we intend to keep them that way. But we need your help to make it happen. Each year, the costs of staging these events (permits, staging, sound, lighting, insurance, and of course treats for the kids!) continue to rise. That's why we're reaching out to ask for your support.
